INME, Death for a Day, & Showcase Jay
Published by Matthias November 6th, 2006 in Gigs.
Everyone who enjoyed the heavy dose of alternative rock that Showcase Jay injected into the battle of the bands will want to make it to the club this friday. Joined by Death for a Day and headlined by INME the night is sure to be more rockin, grungy and angry than an issue of kerrang!
Looking at the other tour dates this gig is on the back end of a 2 month INME marathon so they’ll have their set tight by now I expect. The ticket price of £9 is really excellent to see three bands, and is good of the club to make it a cost young people can afford, hopefully building on the excellent crowd that came out for battle of the bands. The London gig cost £16, and they didn’t even get Showcase Jay.

Here’s a couple of links to take a look at if you want to find out more about the bands from south and listen to some tracks:

All the details: Fusion, Kirkwall, Friday 10th November, Doors 9:30PM, Showcase Jay on at 10PM so get there on time you lazy slobs. Over 14s on the door by popular demand, and only £9.

Thanks admin … a great job on a great site…..only one thing … it is £9 on the door…..still great value for 3 bands… see you all in the mosh pit

Thanks for the info, £9 is indeed still a steal. I updated it in the article, you might want to change it on the fusion site too though, that’s where I got the £8 bit from
hehe they should dig an actual pit into the floor wi dirt flyin everywhere!
What happened to the cinematics and blindspot gig? Is it happnin soon?
Only really going for Showcase Jay, not really a big fan of InMe. Hopefully it should be fun.
Cinematics cancelled because they were asked to support Snow Patrol at the last minute. Hopefully they’ll reschedule when they do another tour? I also wish that the Mars Patrol (boat didn’t go) & The Cord (pulled out) would come up at some point.
