BlindSpot record debut EP
Published by jcm July 16th, 2006 in Editorial.
Local band BlindSpot are nearing the completion of their debut: ‘The White Spark EP’. The cd, which will be available to purchase around Orkney, but also online, will feature 5 original songs, composed by singer/guitarist Josh McGregor and guitarist/backing vocalist Darren Tait. The band have been together for over two years and are best known for their songs ‘White Spark’ and ‘Hold On’ which will feature on the EP.
The band has worked with Philip Anderson, Tom Levens, Douglas Montgomery and others in various studios around Orkney, and expect the cd to be a real hit. To wet your appetite, have a listen to these live tracks, Hold On from last years KGS battle of the bands, and Way Back Home from the brilliant town hall gig:
As well as spending many hours in the studio, the band is also planning various CD launch gigs, which will be happening in the next few weeks. As well as recording their 5 songs for the EP, BlindSpot have also recorded some acoustic B sides, which you can hear on their myspace page:

Come down for the launch in Grooves on October 7th.
It goes something like this - “I remember being at the Live Launch of the BLINDSPOT EP in Grooves and you could tell these lads were really going places” - The large audience were grooving along with them and the EP sales were excellent - Little Wonder! - Good songs dont just fall out of the sky - Its hard work, dedication, a professional attitude and TALENT. Well Done all. Soon to become LEGENDARY !!
